KVKK Clarification Text
Pursuant to the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), your personal data is processed by Luka Yachting, acting as the data controller, within the scope of yacht sales, charter (rental), brokerage and consultancy services. Our company undertakes to process your personal data in accordance with the law and the principles of good faith, accurately and, where necessary, up to date, for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes.
For the purpose of providing our yacht sales, charter and consultancy services, your identity information (name, surname, Turkish ID number or passport information), contact details (phone, email, address), financial information (bank and payment details), customer transaction data (yacht preferences, reservation details, contract and quotation information) and other data related to service processes may be processed. In addition, visual and audio recordings obtained during fairs, events and organizations may also be subject to processing.
Your personal data is processed for the purposes of managing quotation processes, preparing and performing contracts, organizing charter operations, carrying out finance and accounting procedures, fulfilling legal obligations, managing customer relations and, where explicit consent is provided, conducting marketing and informational activities.
Your collected personal data may be transferred, to the extent required by the service and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, to our business partners (marinas, yacht owners, charter companies), insurance companies, legal and financial advisors from whom we receive services, banks and payment institutions, as well as authorized public institutions and organizations. Within the scope of international charter operations, your data may also be shared with business partners abroad where required by the service.
Your personal data is collected through forms submitted via our website, email and telephone communications, WhatsApp correspondence, fair and event applications, as well as quotation and contract processes. Such data is processed based on the legal grounds specified in Article 5 of the KVKK, including the establishment or performance of a contract, fulfillment of legal obligations, the legitimate interests of the data controller, and where necessary, explicit consent.
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information if it has been processed, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with such purpose, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred, to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurately processed, to request deletion or destruction, to object to any unfavorable outcome arising from automated processing, and to claim compensation in case of damage due to unlawful processing.
